Carlos Benaim
Mr. Benaim is Vice-President of Information Technologies at Quark Pharmaceuticals, a leading clinical-stage pharmaceutical company engaged in discovering and developing novel therapeutic RNAi-based drugs. At Quark, he is a permanent member of the Operations committee, the Business Development committee and the R&D Project Management committee.
Before joining Quark, Mr. Benaim held technical and managerial positions in big organizations such as Polinter, a petrochemical company of Global 500 PDVSA. He holds a first degree in Computer Science and M.Sc. in Management of Technology from M.I.T.While at MIT, he was an elected representative to the Business School student Senate where he contributed to the redesign of the executive management program. He also participated in the MIT 50K Business Plan competition, leading a team that was selected semifinalist for its proposal of an “in-silico” alternative to the expensive toxicity studies required in the drug development process.He is a member of the board of directors of the MIT Israel Alumni Association. |
